ABOUT us

Hi! I’m Anne Voss, MPT.

Helping children move, grow, and thrive is my passion! I’ve been a pediatric physical therapist since 1999, working in a variety of settings—including acute care and long-term rehab in a children’s hospital, outpatient clinics, school-based therapy, and early intervention. Over the years, I’ve pursued advanced training in torticollis and plagiocephaly management, reflex and sensory integration, early intervention gait, TASES, and Kinesiotaping. This diverse experience gives me a unique perspective in treating infants and children, and I specialize in motor development for both typically developing children and those with neurological, orthopedic, and genetic conditions.

I believe every child follows their own path, moving at their own pace, and that every milestone—big or small—deserves to be celebrated! That philosophy led me to start Steady Strides, a dream come true where I combine my enthusiasm for working with kids and families with my pediatric expertise to provide the best treatment strategies for helping little ones become confident, independent movers.

It’s never too early to start working on motor skills—there’s no “wait and see” in my book! Early intervention is key to developing strong movement patterns. On the flip side, it’s also never too late. No matter a child’s age or physical challenges, I welcome those who may have plateaued in traditional therapy settings and am committed to providing fresh strategies to help them reach their highest functional potential.

While I take great pride in my career, my greatest joy is being a mom. I’m blessed with three amazing children of my own and three awesome stepsons. Our family is always on the go—cheering from the sidelines at hockey games, baseball diamonds, lacrosse fields, and ballet performances. We also love spending time at the lake, floating in the pool, hiking, and playing pickleball together.

Every child I work with holds a special place in my heart. I would be honored to meet your little one and support them on their journey to becoming a strong, independent mover!

Locations

Lake Elmo

Steady Strides has created a brand-new, thoughtfully designed space in the historic Joshua Taylor building in downtown Lake Elmo, MN. We lovingly call it our Treatment Studio because, unlike traditional PT clinics, it feels less clinical and more like home.

Our studio was designed with little ones in mind—light, bright, and inviting. The calming color palette and soft textures create a warm, welcoming environment that feels comfortable rather than intimidating. Every piece of equipment and every toy has been carefully chosen to support our treatment strategies, helping to promote and facilitate motor development in a way that feels like play. These engaging tools not only encourage movement but also keep little ones happily distracted from how hard they’re working!

Parents are welcome to relax on the cozy couch and join in our sessions or step across the street to grab a coffee from the local café. We want families to feel at ease while their little ones build confidence, strength, and independence in a space designed just for them.

In-Home or Community:

At Steady Strides,we understand that children often learn best in their natural environments—and that fitting therapy into a busy schedule can be challenging. That’s why we offer flexible options to bring therapy to you, whether at home, daycare, or even the park.

For busy parents juggling nap schedules, diaper changes and work calls, home visits provide a convenient way to prioritize your child’s development. If your child is immunocompromised and home is the safest place, we’ll bring therapy to you!*

For working parents who struggle to make it to in-person therapy sessions, we also offer daycare visits. We collaborate with caregivers and teachers to incorporate therapy into your child’s daily routine, ensuring they get the support they need without disrupting your day. Daycare-based therapy allows children to practice motor skills in a familiar environment, surrounded by their peers, which can enhance their progress.

No matter where therapy happens, our goal is to make it easy and stress-free, so you can focus on what matters most—helping your little one grow, move, and thrive.

*In-home and community visits are subject to location and travel time. Fuel and travel fees are additional.
